Nairobi: Impala prop Frank Ndong will captain Kenya against Uganda in the return leg of the Tusker Elgon Cup to be played on Saturday at the Rugby
Football Union of East Africa ground. Several changes have been made in the team that played the first leg match on May 13 in Kampala. Nine players will not be in the side that was named by Manuel Okoth and Charles Ngovi after the training session on Wednesday.^
Kenya Commercial Bank prop Derrick Wamalwa, John Onyango (Mwamba), Paul Oimbo (Impala), Kanyi Gitonga (Nondescripts), Michael Aung (Nondescripts), Victor Sudi (Kenya Harlequin) and Peter Ocholla (Impala)are all unavailable because of injury or other commitments. Also missing from the technical bench are two coaches Thomas Odundo and Musembi Mumo who handled the side in the 7-7 draw.
Uganda has also made 11 changes to the side that convincingly beat 1995 Rugby World Cup finalists Cote d’Ivoire in June in Kampala, bringing in Edmond Tumusiime, Philip Karumuna, Anthony Kinene, Kenneth Mutabaruka, Moses Soita, Alex Mubiru, Eric Butime and Timothy Mudoola.
Four players will get their first 15s caps this Saturday. They include KCB players Mark Emitati,Job Weku and the Mwamba pair of Humhrey Kayange and Benson Weru.
