CAR announces date & venue for AFRICA CUP

The Confederation of African Rugby has announced the date and venue for the final of the AFRICA CUP, the continent’s premier championship. Namibia who last week qualified for Rugby World cup 2007 will host the match in Windhoek on December 02 against the South African Amateur side. The two-match play off series against Morocco for RWC also served as the semi-final in POOL A for the AFRICA CUP. The SA Amateur side reached the finals after defeating last year’s finalists Madagascar in the POOL B semi-final. The outcome of the match will see a new champion crowned as Morocco are the current title holders. Namibia won the AFRICA CUP two years ago.Victory in Windhoek will crown a great year for the Namibians and start their campaign to qualify for France 2007.
