QUINS IN POLE POSITION FOR NAKUMATT SEVENS CIRCUIT CROWN.

Kenya Harlequins FC top the 2006 Nakumatt Sevens Circuit Standings with one tournament, the Motorola Christie Sevens tournament, left to go. Quins, the defending National Sevens Champions, moved above KCB after their comprehensive display over the weekend that saw them defeat Impala 24-14 in a hotly contested Kabeberi Sevens tournament. Quins have their work cut out, and need to win the Christie Sevens tournament this weekend to retain the circuit championship. Should Quins reach the final and play against either KCB or Impala and lose to either one of the teams, then the circuit champion will be decided by the overall try count tally. KCB currently have the highest try count with 81 tries, with Quins on 78 tries and Impala on 62 tries. Mwamba do have a mathematic chance of winning the circuit, and they will thus strive not only to win the tournament but hope that Quins, KCB and Impala all falter in their Quarter final matches. The last tournament of the Nakumatt Sevens Circuit, the Motorola Christie Sevens tournament will be played on Friday 20th October and Saturday 21st October 2006.
